SAG REVOTE SCHEDULED - DOL COMPLAINT FILED February 2, 2002.
SAG Boils Over. Shades of Florida 2000. Citing "custom and practice" rather than an affirmative vote of the National Board, Screen Actors Guild is going forward with an election re-run. Paul Petersen and four others have filed a formal complain with the Department of Labor (read the complaint on paulpetersen.com) which, it is hoped, will review the outrageous acts of the Hollywood Elections Committee. In the meantime, ballots will be mailed out on February 11th and are due to be counted on March 8th. If you are a SAG member and care about kids, we urge you to shake off the oily feeling Valerie Harper and her minions have caused and vote for President Melissa Gilbert, Treasurer candidate Amy Acquino, and for Recording Secretary, Kevin Kilner. A companion article accompanies the formal DoL complaint on paulpetersen.com.
