"Life on the Cutting Room Floor"
For those of you who turned in to see Paul on "20/20," we hope you weren't too disappointed. The Producers called early Friday to inform me that they just had 'too much to tell and too little time.' Having seen the piece, it's easy to agree with their position. The fact is that we are at yet another point in time when the "turn-over" among child stars reaching a troubled adulthood is at yet another peak. Our value to ABC and "20/20" is not to be dismissed, however, because we have for many years now been telling people that it's time to fix this "cycle of consequences" that affect so many successful child stars. The pattern is obvious to all who "connect the dots," and the Producers of "20/20" got to see for themselves that we know what we're talking about.
The AMC "perspective" was proved once again, with or without a personal appearance. It is our hope that someone at the Network level will decide to feature the work being done to finally put an end to this multi-generational dilemma. When that day comes, Paul and the members of AMC will be ready.
Best to all,
PP
