Remembering Jack Wild

March 1, 2006

Our friend and boon companion, Jack Wild, nominated for an Oscar at age 16 for his work in "Oliver," died this morning at age 53 from cancer. Jack was on-board with A Minor Consideration from the very beginning, and found the time to make meaningful contributions to our growth and development over the years. Jack was one of our Poster Boys who overcame most everything that life and abandonment could throw at him. One of the Good Guys, and we'll miss him terribly.

I have been a fan of Jack's since I first saw him in the movie "Oliver" and am very sad to hear the news of his passing. I feel very fortunate to have met him a few years ago at the Hollywood Collectors Show. He was very down-to-earth and seemed to really enjoy spending time with his many devoted fans, answering our many questions. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I will treasure the memory of that day forever. He will be sorely missed.

Please re-visit Jack's open letter to Daniel Radcliffe, written September, 2000.
