IT TAKES A CHICKEN

“Kid Nation” clearly has a death wish. The lurid demise of a hapless chicken managed to galvanize a hitherto silent army, namely animal lovers. My, how they’ve been squawking since the airing of Episode Two of this depraved saga. The execution of this chicken has become a hot property on YouTube. Figures.

Look folks, if you are looking for some heads to roll besides the chickens, how about the CBS executives that gave the green light to this project and the man who created this travesty against working children, Tom Forman?

The animals had a Head Wrangler and an Assistant on this production. And still the chicken died.

The kids were the ones without a Teacher. The kids were without their parents. The kids were encamped without enough toilets in the name of what, entertainment?

Alison Arngrim has the best line so far when it comes to the controversy over the “Chicken Execution:”

“Well, better late than never,” she wrote, “and personally, I'm always up for having people do the right thing for the wrong reason!”

Leave it to “Nellie” to say it all. If kids working forty straight days, 17 hours a day isn’t enough for you to turn off the “Kid Nation” drivel, then do it for the world’s chickens.
