Eddie Hodges is Back!

My power and phones were just restored. Last time I sat down to this computer was Aug.28th. Things are calming down here, but gas and food are high and lots of people are without jobs or homes. Scam artists are everywhere.

I had my first hot bath in 19 days this morning at my parent's house. There is still a lot of destruction, parts of trees and houses scattered everywhere and impatient people in stores and on the road. But, mostly, everyone talks about how grateful we all are to be alive and have our families still with us. I'm particularly grateful that I won't have to go outside in the dark with a flashlight tonight to put gas in the generator and crank it up again, and come back inside the house and take a cold shower.
