From a Friend I’ve Never Met

I don't mean to impose. You don't know me. I just wanted to tell you that I saw you some time ago on the panel of a HLN show in regard to the 'Jon and Kate + 8' children. You were the only person in the group who had any inkling that the kids needed to be protected. I remember Carlos (last name escapes me) tearing into you especially hard about your views. You were simply saying that those children were indeed performers and that someone ought to be looking out for their interests and that Pennsylvania should be looking into their working conditions, etc. Well, you would have thought you said the world was flat again!! Everyone on that panel thought you were way off, but you held firm and kept your cool! I really respected that.

I thought that Carlos was a little rude to you. I seem to remember him saying something to the effect that 'not everyone is an unhappy ex-child star like you'. You didn't sink to personal attacks and kept to the subject at hand - the welfare of those kids. I also saw him apologize to you on a subsequent show some time later.

I've been thinking of you ever since that initial show, every time I hear more about the J&K+8 mess. Boy, were you right on!!

You know, nothing bad ever happened by making sure kids were being looked after and protected!! You can hold your head high on that one. I'll never forget the way you handled yourself on that show. I really respected that. You're a class act.

Sorry to bother you on your personal page, as I don't know you. I just wanted to tell you what respect I have for you!!
