James Aubrey

Former child actor James Aubrey (born James Aubrey Tregidgo in Klagenfurt, Austria, on August 28, 1947) passed away at age 62 of pancreatitis on April 6, 2010.

His only appearance as a child actor was in the Peter Brook-directed movie, "Lord of the Flies," in 1963, playing the lead character, Ralph, just shy of his 16th birthday. He would never again do another peformance as an under-age-18 performer, and his subsequent roles were all produced in the UK. He had also been in the cast of the 1962 USA stage play "Isle of Children" (on Broadway), which did poorly and was closed after only 11 presentations.

We offer our condolences to his sister Janet Fleming, and his daughter Sarah, who survive him, as well as to all of those who knew and cared for him, both as a performer, and as a friend.
